EASY Salisbury Steak Recipe
Salisbury Steak has been one of my favorites since I was a child but I wasn’t in the mood to do a baked salisbury steak, instead I wanted something to throw in the Slow Cooker and make dinner easy.
The actual Salisbury Steak patties are easy to make. Throw ground beef, dry onion soup mix, bread crumbs and milk in a bowl and mix around with your hands, and then form the patties.
Salisbury Steak Made With Ground Beef
A helpful hint: use lean, less fat ground beef. If you don’t use a lean beef, it’s going to make your creamy gravy more on the greasy side. This can totally be made with non lean beef, but I think it overall tastes better with a 90/10 blend. After you shape your steak patties then roll around in a dusting of flour.
KETO Scrambled Egg Ground Beef Casserole recipe that’s easy to make! This baked ground beef casserole is low carb and you can make ahead overnight if you’d like! It’s packed with vegetables and sprinkled with cheddar cheese!
A Famous Ground Beef Casserole
Do you guys know about Joe’s Special? It’s a famous dish that started in San Francisco in the 1920s that consisted of eggs, ground beef, spinach and garlic. A few places make their own version, including a Brooklyn based restaurant that my husband fell in love with. I wanted to try a modern spin on it, removing the spinach and replacing it with green beans and peppers. The result is a delicious Scrambled Egg and Ground Beef Casserole!
Keto Casserole Recipe
This casserole is keto friendly and low carb, something I’ve been requested to make more of from my readers since I posted my Cauliflower Casserole recipe! It’s made with eggs and ground beef to be high in protein, and a homemade cream of mushroom soup that’s made with almond milk. Did I mention there’s shredded cheese on top to make it extra delicious?
DELICIOUS CROCK POT Corned Beef Brisket with Vegetables recipe! This slow cooker recipe cooks a 4 pound corned beef brisket with cabbage, carrots, potatoes and onion to create a amazing dinner! Use the leftovers the next day for the best BBQ sandwiches!
When it was my first time buying brisket many years ago, I didn’t know where to look for it at – with the meats on the shelf? Behind a refrigerated door?Is it at the meat counter? And what does it look like? I had no idea. So after a google image search and phone in hand, there I found it in the meat department on the top shelf all the way to the left.
My first thought- yikes, that is expensive.
My second thought – they had point cut and flat cut. What is the difference? Again… to Google I went in the meat department. Point cut has more fat content but is more tastier. Flat cut is less fat, less tender. Also to note Flat cut is about twice the price (twice the yikes).
Best type of meat for Brisket
So when I saw a reviewer saying “If you want taste, go with the Point Cut” that was it. I wanted the flavor and texture, I wasn’t about to take that away for less fat. If this is a special meal you have a few times a year, do the point cut – just do it.

EASY, SLOW COOKER Cabbage Roll Casserole! This easy recipe is made in the crockpot and ready in 4 hours! This is a Polish family recipe called Halupkie!
Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Casserole
Cabbage Rolls were a big deal in my house. My Mother is Polish, so the recipe was passed down from generation to generation and ended up being one of my favorite meals she would make. Just like my Stuffed Pepper Casserole, this is another one of Mom’s famous recipes that my family loves! And even better is that this Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Casserole only takes 4 hours in the Crockpot!
How to Make Cabbage Rolls in Slow Cooker (Video)
My Mom would add ground beef, rice and tomato sauce into a big piece of cabbage, roll it up, throw it in the fridge overnight to sit and then we would have them for Sunday dinner. Just the smell of cabbage takes me back to my childhood!
This Cabbage Roll Casserole is a direct spin off my Mother’s Halupkies recipe, but we’re making this in casserole form in the slow cooker instead.
Ingredients for Slow Cooker Cabbage Roll Casserole
1 pound raw ground beef
1 medium size head of cabbage chopped
1 medium sized green pepper chopped
1 small onion chopped
1 15 Oz can of diced or stewed tomatoes undrained
2 15 Oz cans of tomato sauce
1 teaspoon minced garlic
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 tablespoon beef bouillon
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
1 cup uncooked white rice (not instant)
How to Make Slow Cooker Cabbage Rolls
All you need to do is add all the ingredients (except the white rice) in the slow cooker and cook on high for 1 hour. Add rice, stir and cook on high for 3 more hours.
Some people call this recipe “lazy cabbage rolls” but I just call it delicious! A nice warm bowl of cabbage roll casserole is the perfect dinner for a cold Winter night.
Delicious homemade Japanese Curry using beef, onions, potatoes, carrots and curry sauce mix.
I love Curry. And I’m not talking about Steph Curry because you guys know I’m a Cavs fan. I’m talking about curry, the delicious dish that can be found in multiple varieties around the world. In Morimoto’s cookbook Mastering the Art of Japanese Cooking he writes “Japanese curry is like the final whisper in an international game of telephone. It began in India, moved to and morphed in England, and settled in my home country ….every prefecture and every family has its own version”.
Right now I’m really into Morimoto’s cookbook to get better at Japanese cooking. The book has everything in it from this delicious curry (who my husband rated as “one of the best things you ever made”) to udon noodle soups, shrimp dumplings, rice bowls, tempura and so much more. For a holiday gift I’d definitely add Mastering The Art of Japanese Home Cooking to your wishlist. You can also find more recipes at the #JapaneseHomeCooking book blog party if you make this, fall in love and want to try more!
Betty Draper’s Swedish Meatballs Recipe – classic dish straight from Mad Men!
“Hot or cold? Swedish meatballs or chicken salad” asks Betty Draper when Don comes home late from work one evening. Don chooses the chicken salad, but in my opinion he misses out. Betty’s Swedish Meatballs are where the magic is at.
If you’re reading this and wondering who Betty Draper or Don it, let me grab you for a quick hug and tell you what you’re missing out on. The Drapers (or previously were – no spoilers!) are 2 of the main characters on the hit show Mad Men which I’ve been obsessed with since the beginning. On Sunday night they will air the first episode from the final season – weep weep. If you’re a Mad Men fan, do you have predictions? How’s it going to end? How’s Don going to end up? Are you rooting for him? Do you think Don Draper is amazingly sexy no matter what horrible things he does? Me too, I can’t help it. Smoking, drinking, overtly sexual, heart breaker, etc. “Don Draper cheats on his wife, never does any housework, hardly spends time with his kids—he shouldn’t be sexy, but he is.” All the things that your mother told you to stay way from. Except with Don he chases you in and you’re like “Ok”. Why do you have to be so complicated Mr. Draper?
AMAZING Chinese Pepper Beef Cubes – this easy to make Chinese recipe is tasty and will have your family begging for it! Serve beef and vegetables over white rice for a healthy authentic Chinese meal!
Do you have a favorite Chinese dish? I’m a big fan of Chinese soups (like salted pork and cabbage), Chicken and Broccoli and I’m always down for Lo Mein. One thing I always love in my dishes is a ton of vegetables covered in that delicious Chinese sauce they always smoother them in. It doesn’t matter if it’s peppers, broccoli, carrots, water chestnuts or something else, I can’t say no to a yummy vegetable.
Right now being Winter I am craving fresh vegetables. I am missing the green pepper overload from the garden. I can’t wait to pick broccoli in the Spring. Thankfully we still have enough carrots left from Fall so I have those to survive on. Over the weekend it was freezing (literally). The wind was harsh, my knees were shaking and my gloves didn’t feel like they were doing much of anything. One thing I craved when I got home was a warm fresh meal, something that would take me out of the Winter blues.
CHEESY Taco Casserole is EASY to make. This simple baked casserole recipe is made with elbow noodles, tomato soup, ground beef and lots of cheddar cheese! This is a yummy dinner that everyone will love – especially the kids!
Some people like to say “Taco Tuesday” but I like to say “Tacos Everyday!”.
Tacos are one of my favorite meals, I can basically eat them every night and never get sick of them. The thing I love about tacos is you can have them so many ways. Maybe you’re in a burrito mood, maybe you’re in a hard shell mood, maybe you’re in a salad moon, maybe you’re in a soup mood, maybe you’re in a pepper steak mood, or maybe you want a casserole. In the case of the casserole, I got you covered.
Say hello to your new favorite dinner, Cheesy Taco Casserole!
This is a good ol comfort meal, perfect after a hard day of work. In the Winter time, this really warms up my bones in all the right spots. It has plenty of fresh vegetables (green pepper, tomatoes, jalapeno peppers), along with tomato soup that is going to hold those noodles together and soak up the good stuff. And that extra cheesy layer on top? Yup, you will fall in love with it.

This Cheesy Lasagna Meatball Skillet rules! If you make it I hope it becomes one of your favorite go to easy dinner recipes!
Stovetop Meatball Lasagna
I love myself some lasagna. There’s something about pasta noodles slathered in various types of cheese with tomato sauce that does the trick to me. How about you? Do you start to see hearts when you hear the word lasagna too? I was in the mood for lasagna but I wasn’t in the mood to do the stacking that lasagna usually involves. I also wasn’t in the mood to turn my oven on because Summer is here and who wants to heat up their home? So I used my original Lasagna Skillet recipe to come up with a Meatball twist.
The recipe calls for 15 cooked meatballs. It’s really up to you what kind you want to include. Store bought is quick, but homemade is also awesome.
