Add in beef broth, chopped up vegetables, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic and spices.
Close the lid and cook until beef is tender. Serve and enjoy this delicious Crockpot Beef Stew!

Recipe Help
Can I cook the beef before adding it into the slow cooker?
You sure can, although it adds a couple of minutes onto your prep time. Place flour, salt and pepper into a bowl, add the beef stew meat and stir to fully coat. Add 2 tablespoons of olive oil into a frying pan, along with chopped onion, add the beef flour mixture and brown the meat on all sides, this takes about 10 minutes.
Now add it into the slow cooker and continue the recipe per directions.
Can I use dry onion soup mix?
Yes, these envelopes of dry onion soup mix are always handy to have in your kitchen! Instead of adding salt, pepper, paprika and a bay leaf – instead add 1 package of dry onion soup mix to the slow cooker.
What types of potatoes are best for beef stew?
You can use either chopped yellow potatoes, or baby red potatoes.

(Just realized you already included garlic in the recipe. 😉)
I don’t know if you might remember me. Several years ago I had a blog called My Yellow Farmhouse. Due to some health issues I haven’t been posting – or following wonderful people like you – but I want to Get Back to It!!

Perfect – I was thinking of inviting friends to dine here before we go to a play AND I was thinking a stew would be a great thing to serve. Talk about perfect timing!! (Think I’ll add some red wine & garlic to the crockpot.
I’ll let you know how that works out!! 😉😉
