Have you ever made a recipe that gets eaten so quickly you wonder “How did that happen”? Yup, that’s what happened with me and this White Chocolate Toffee. I had no idea it was going to be such a hit! When I first made them I had no idea Matthew and I were going to be fighting each other for the last one – they’re that good!
This easy to make toffee is made with 5 simple ingredients that you most likely already have in your kitchen! The ingredients are pecans, brown sugar, butter, white chocolate chips and sprinkles. I love it because it’s a no bake dessert that also includes rainbow sprinkles – which is my favorite type of treat!
What is Toffee?
Toffee is a type of hard candy, made by boiling sugar and butter together. If often has a nut based bottom and chocolate top. For this recipe, we’re going to use pecans for the base and white chocolate for the top! Lots of people confuse toffee and caramel, but toffee is more crunchy while caramel is more sticky!

For dinner I made this Roasted Carrot Soup (by the way, it’s delicious!) but then I also wanted carrots for dessert!
I was going to make carrot cake, but I’ve had a real craving for donuts lately so I decided to mix the best of both worlds – cake and donuts!
CARROT CAKE DONUTS
These donuts taste just like carrot cake with a sweet vanilla glaze on top. Think of a bakery glazed donut + a carrot cake…. all as fresh as possible. The freshness of the carrots really make these donuts something special!
Carrot Cake Ingredients
These donuts basically require the same ingredients as carrot cake.
You’ll need egg, orange juice, melted butter, vanilla, brown sugar, flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and allspice. And then you’ll need shredded carrots!
The vanilla glaze on top is a tried and tested recipe that I use all the time! You make it with milk, vanilla extract and powdered sugar.
These donuts are definitely a keeper in my garden notebook now. I can’t wait for our next carrot harvest to make (and devour!) some more Carrot Cake Donuts!

Having a ice cream maker is a great idea. And by great idea I mean a deliciously bad idea. Its like you can make ice cream whenever you want. Which means if you happen to keep all the supplies on hand you can eat ice cream every single day. Delicious, totally. Dangerous, totally.
But I like to live on the wild side… when it comes to ice cream. I live so wild that I checked out 2 ice cream recipe cookbooks from the library and I got a 10 cent fee because one was a day late back. See. I’m a wild child.

What else does every Halloween party need? A spooky Eyeball Sherbet Punch! I made a Midwestern classic Orange Sherbet Punch that has 2 key ingredients: Orange Sherbet and 7UP soda. I served it in a party sized glass punch bowl.
I love serving Sherbet Punch for Halloween because it naturally foams up and looks great on a festive tablescape. To make it more ghoulish for my graveyard setting, I added some lime slice and floating eyeball candies on top!
Kids will find this punch fun with it’s bright color and appearance! Adults will love the sweet taste. You can easily “spike” this punch if you’re having a adults only party too!
Some types of alcohol to add to this punch would be vodka, white rum, a fruity schnapps or even champagne! Play around with the flavor to see what tastes best to you!

This ice cream includes half and half, heavy cream, sugar, vanilla extract, a dash of salt and lots of fresh strawberries – and trust me, that’s all you need!
The taste of this ice cream has the perfect strawberry ratio to it, with the strawberry taste shining through. I recommend taking your strawberries and pureeing them every so slightly so they’re a good mashed consistency, but be careful not to puree them too much!

Tea is serious business to me, but in the Summer I have to change my daily rituals.
