Make yourself this dairy free orange smoothie with watermelon and banana for a healthy snack soon!

Orange Smoothie Recipe

I’m a “all fruit” smoothie kinda girl. Throw the fruit in a blender, blend for a few seconds and ta-da, your healthy smoothie is ready.

Although milk makes smoothies more creamy, I prefer this smoothie without milk. The taste of the citrus and fruit really come through and it’s a delicous drink for breakfast or a afternoon snack.

Bonus – if you have kids, make them one too! My kids absolutely love sharing this smoothie with me.

Fruit Smoothie Ingredients

You only need 3 ingredients for this recipe:

  1. orange
  2. watermelon (fresh or frozen)
  3. banana (fresh or frozen)

Throw everything into your blender (along with some ice cubes) and blend until smooth. Your smoothie is ready to go!

What else can I add?

If you want to add more to this smoothie, here’s some suggestions:

  • Berries – strawberries, blueberries or raspberries
  • Pineapple
  • Carrots (chopped)
  • Kale or spinach (small handful)
  • Creamy avocado
  • Lime juice
  • Chia seeds

Since I’ve been making smoothies for the whole family every morning I feel like need to keep coming up with new recipes.. And this sounds absolutely perfect: a combination I haven’t tried yet! – adding some oats and chia seeds and I’ve got an early morning breakfast for everyone.. yay! 😀

Yarm! This would be an awesome breakfast smoothie too. Summer is on it’s way to the land downunder & I can’t wait to get my summer fruits on.
