Crispy Roasted Broccoli Recipe

My family loves broccoli as a side dish to basically any meal. Sometimes we love melted cheddar cheese and broccoli and sometimes we love roasted broccoli. Either one, bring it on broccoli!

This oven roasted broccoli is quick to serve, ready in 20 minutes. After the broccoli is pan roasted, you will have the most delicious crispy broccoli florets! Serve roasted broccoli as a side dish, or add to any of your favorite pasta or rice dishes (we really love this butter garlic pasta with broccoli). I hope you try it soon!

What temperature to roast broccoli at?

400 degrees F is best to roast broccoli at. This cooks broccoli fairly fast without burning it. The result is perfect crispy broccoli!

How long does pan roasted broccoli take in the oven?

Depending on the size of your broccoli florets, your broccoli will take about 15 minutes. You’ll want to flip the broccoli halfway through and monitor to prevent burning.

How to Roast Broccoli in the Oven

Cut broccoli up, wash it and then pat it dry. Add directly onto a baking sheet. Yes, you can use parchment paper for easy cleanup, but I find that directly cooking the vegetables on the baking sheet always tastes better.

Add olive oil and a pinch of salt and stir to completely coat the broccoli.

Cook for 15 minutes, stirring the broccoli half way. If yours isn’t crispy at 15 minutes, add a couple more minutes. Watch it to prevent burning.

Storing Leftovers:

To store leftover oven roasted broccoli, place it in an airtight container and refrigerate for up to 3 days. When you’re ready to eat, you can reheat it in the microwave or on the stovetop. For best results, reheat it in a hot skillet to help crisp up the edges again. If you prefer, you can also enjoy it cold in salads or wraps!
