Easy Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Cabbage recipe! Throw Beef Kielbasa, Cabbage, Onions and Potatoes in a crockpot and dinner will be ready in 6 hours! I serve this healthy dish over egg noodles – my family LOVES this comfort food meal!
Kielbasa and Cabbage
I am back with another slow cooker meal, and this is one of our favorite Kielbasa Recipes! Even though it’s not even Fall yet, I’ve been loving my slow cooker this Summer! It’s been a life safer to have a delicious dinner ready when time management isn’t on my side!
With a beautiful cabbage picked from the garden, I was contemplating what I should do with it. At first I thought of making Ham and Cabbage Soup or Creamy Cabbage Casserole but then I had other ideas! Recently we’ve been loving Crock Pot Kielbasa in Tomato Sauce, so I decided to throw the cabbage to in the slow cooker too! Boom – this Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Cabbage dish was created!

Crockpot Cabbage Recipe
Besides cabbage, throw in potatoes and onions to your slow cooker, alongside some beef kielbasa. I’ve made this kielbasa and cabbage slow cooker recipe a few times in the last month and we love adding carrots in it too!
The ingredients are incredibly simple, you might already have everything in your kitchen!
Crockpot Kielbasa and Cabbage recipe
For this recipe you’ll need the following ingredients:
- 1 medium sized head of cabbage
- 3 medium potatoes
- 1 medium onion
- 1 pound beef kielbasa
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon minced garlic

Has anyone tried this using the pressure cooking of the Instant Pot? The ingredients would appear to be compatible with Instant Pot. I’m curious as to time, amount of liquid, etc.
Karen says
Made this today for our church fellowship meal. I just couldn’t figure out what was missing (adding more salt didn’t help). My hubby did a taste test and suggested I add some vinegar. I put in a little bit of apple cider vinegar and it made a world of difference. Gave it a German flair. Crockpot was empty at the end of the fellowship meal!

Simple and keto friendly meal. Thanks for sharing!
Ron says
This looks delicious. Can you use sauerkraut instead of cabbage?
Ron says
I realize that the potatoes should be cooked separately and added after sauerkraut is cooked so they don’t turn black.
Pamela says
Hey Ron, I’ve never had any issues with the potatoes turning black. I cook everything together to make this recipe easy! Enjoy!
