Easy step by step instructions on how to freeze fresh green beans without blanching.  These green beans will last up to a year. You can use them in casseroles, soups, stir fry and more!

If your garden is anything like ours right now you might be picking pounds and pounds of green beans.  And if you’re anything like me, you really don’t want to turn on your stove to boil water to preserve your green beans during the Summer.

Last year I started to freeze our fresh green beans this way and they stayed extra fresh, keeping their bright green color and crunch.   These frozen green beans last up to a year in the freezer making them a easy and economical way to save your green beans.

Great recipe. What is wrong with Americans who find Christianity so difficult to understand.? It should be a kind peaceful religion, โ€˜cursingโ€™ is not important. Why so many guns in the USA and so many killings/murders if you are really โ€˜Christianโ€™ .?! Come to Europe where life is lived properly as Christians.

I’ll try this method – just hope they don’t get freezer burn. I am amazed how many people have carried on regarding language. This site is about a recipe, not language. You don’t like it – X out of the site. I’m very religious and am not offended. Keep your personal opinions to yourself for goodness sake.

Yeah, sure, you can complain, but as youโ€™re complaining just remember youโ€™re on the internet where you never know what youโ€™re going to run into. I think the internet is just somewhere you should expect to find things you wonโ€™t always agree with and we should be open minded about that. Otherwise the entire internet would be filled with angry people constantly fighting with one another. You gotta pick your battles, i guess.

While we do come here because we all love food, itโ€™s just tacky anyways. Anyone Who loves the Lord would be affected by the language. Also consider young people coming to this page to learn to cook/preserve food, itโ€™s pretty much endorsing being so casually foul mouthed. Break the norm and stand up for being well Mannered civilized human beings who know how to carry on conversation or have personality without saying such things.

BTW- She did not use the Lord God’s name in vain…did you not notice it was a lower case ‘g’. Get over it, get a life, and what’s most important…be kind to someone today and everyday!

The only thing I do differently is: I let the beans get good and dry after prepping them and then freeze them on a big tray in a single layer before transferring them to freezer bags. Keeps them nice and loose!

Thanks for the great tutorial, it was exactly what I was looking for, and gave me a needed laugh today. Perhaps all of the religious nuts who took time to lecture someone else on their own personal beliefs can try to remember that not everyone believes what you believe. If the tutorial offends you, well, no one is forcing you to read it – move along to one that praises your particular mythological deity.

I was actually shocked to see this type of language on a Food/Recipe site. After reading other comments, I see I am not the only one that does not care for your wording. Shame on you.

It is sad how people are judging us for respecting our Lord and savior obviously they don’t know him and I feel very sorry for them for trying to put us down when we are just standing up for our creator the one who died on the cross for us! Not a religious fanatic here I love her of God and appreciative of eternity with him
