Easy Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Cabbage recipe! Throw Beef Kielbasa, Cabbage, Onions and Potatoes in a crockpot and dinner will be ready in 6 hours! I serve this healthy dish over egg noodles – my family LOVES this comfort food meal!

Kielbasa and Cabbage

I’m back with another comforting slow cooker meal, and this Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Cabbage is quickly becoming one of our favorite kielbasa recipes! Even though it’s not quite fall yet, I’ve been leaning on my slow cooker all summer—it’s a lifesaver for getting a delicious dinner on the table when time isn’t on my side. Need dinner even faster? Don’t miss my Instant Pot Kielbasa and Cabbage recipe!

This recipe was born out of garden inspiration. With a beautiful head of cabbage freshly picked, I was debating what to make—until I remembered how much we’ve been loving my Crockpot Kielbasa And Green Beans lately. So I tossed the cabbage into the slow cooker too, and boom—this flavorful kielbasa and cabbage dinner came to life!

The result is a simple yet hearty cabbage and sausage meal that’s perfect for busy weeknights. It’s inspired by the comforting Polish and Hungarian dishes my mom made when I was growing up, and I know you’re going to love it just as much as we do.

How to Make Crockpot Kielbasa and Cabbage recipe

Add cabbage, potatoes, onions and beef kielbasa into your slow cooker. Recipe tip: We’ve made this kielbasa and cabbage recipe a few times this month, and when garden carrots are in season, we love tossing a few (chop them up) in for added sweetness and color.

Stir in chicken broth, salt, pepper, brown sugar, and minced garlic.

uncooked ingredients in slow cooker.

Place the lid on your slow cooker and set it to cook on low for 6 hours. That’s it! Your kitchen will smell amazing as it simmers!

Enjoy this Slow Cooker Kielbasa and Cabbage dinner!

How I Serve It

I love serving this as a main dish over egg noodles or white rice because they soak up all that savory broth from the kielbasa and cabbage.

For a heartier dinner that’s needed during Winter months, serve on top of easy homemade mashed potatoes next to fluffy dinner rolls!

Storing Leftovers

Transfer leftovers to an airtight container. Store in the refrigerator for up to 4 days. To reheat, simply warm it on the stove over medium heat or in the microwave until heated through. The broth keeps everything moist and flavorful, making this dish just as tasty the next day!

Hi, is it okay to use fresh (uncooked) kielbasa, or should I cook it first?

You can use it fresh, the 6 hours should be enough to cook it. Please just be sure to check that it’s completely cooked when time is up! Enjoy!

Definitely needed some salt added. Next time instead of using apple sausage, I will use smoked sausage instead. Overall, not a bad recipe at all.

I made this a week ago and my husband were in heaven over this. I am making it tomorrow because I have been craving it really bad. Me and my husband love cabbage and keiabosa and have to add more Me at this time but might try a different meat I have leftover pork roast that was marinated and didn’t have noodles last time so I need to either put it over mashed potatoes or bisquets. I am not sure yet what meat I am going to try but my husband want me to try the frozen meatballs so that is what I am going to try this time. Thanks for your recipe and I love cooking out of my crockpot all the time never really use a stove any more. Thanks again.
