This Rigatoni with Sweet Italian Sausage is my go-to for a quick, comforting weeknight dinner. Tender rigatoni noodles tossed with savory sweet Italian sausage, rich tomato sauce, and melted cheese make it a family favorite. Perfect for easy pasta dinners, Italian-inspired meals, or cozy comfort food nights!
Easy Rigatoni with Sausage Dinner
If you’re looking for an easy rigatoni pasta recipe with Sweet Italian Sausage, you’ve found a winner. I love quick Italian pasta dinners that come together in under 30 minutes, like my Cheesy Skillet Lasagna, 20-Minute Garlic Spaghetti Noodles, and Broccoli Pasta.
In this recipe, Sweet Italian Sausage is cooked with garlic and bell peppers, then tossed with rigatoni, your favorite pasta sauce, and plenty of Parmesan cheese. Dinner is ready in no time! Easy, flavorful, and totally satisfying. And the leftovers? If there are any, they make the perfect make-ahead pasta lunch or dinner.
I always serve this pasta dinner with Garlic Knots or Italian Bread (homeamde or store bought!).

How to Make Rigatoni Pasta and Sweet Italian Sausage
Cook rigatoni pasta according to box in a large pot of salted water. Drain and set aside.
Brown sausage along with garlic and peppers in a large pan. You can use either green, red or yellow bell peppers, or even a combo of them if you want to add in some color to this dish.
Add in cooked pasta, a jar of pasta sauce and Parmesan cheese. Cook until everything is heated and cheese is melted.
Serve on plates with fresh chopped basil or parsley. Enjoy your rigatoni dinner!
Storing Leftovers
Let the pasta cool completely, then transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 3–4 days. Reheat in the microwave or on the stovetop with a splash of water or extra sauce to keep it creamy.
