Garlic Noodles Cooking Tips
- Use Fresh Garlic for Best Flavor – Fresh minced garlic delivers the most aromatic, bold flavor.
- Reserve Some Pasta Water – Saving 1/4 cup of pasta cooking water helps loosen the sauce and helps it cling better to the noodles for silky, perfectly coated garlic noodles.
- Customize with Add-Ins – Feel free to add cooked shrimp, chicken, or steamed veggies like broccoli or sugar snap peas to make this garlic noodle dish a complete meal.
How to Make Garlic Spaghetti Noodles
In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and sesame oil until fully combined.
Heat a large skillet over medium heat and melt the butter. Add the minced garlic to the skillet and stir continuously until it becomes fragrant and lightly browned.
Pour the sauce mixture from the bowl into the skillet with the garlic, then immediately turn off the heat to prevent overcooking the garlic.
Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Before draining, spoon out and reserve ¼ cup of the pasta cooking water. Drain the spaghetti and add it directly to the skillet with the garlic sauce. Pour in the reserved pasta water.
Toss the noodles gently until they are evenly coated with the sauce.
Sprinkle in the grated Parmesan cheese and chopped green onions, then toss again to combine.
Serve immediately and enjoy your flavorful garlic spaghetti noodles!
How to Reheat Leftovers
Place the leftovers in a microwave-safe dish and sprinkle a little water over the top. Cover loosely with a microwave-safe lid or paper towel. Heat in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until warmed evenly.

Hey Brooklyn Farm Girl….the garlic spaghetti is an absolute winner.
As an added protein may I suggest medium cooked shrimp or canned whole clams, well drained.
