Halloween Guacamole Recipe

Are you looking for a guacamole recipe for your Halloween party? Look no further!  You’re going to love this classic guacamole recipe with sour cream spiderwebs on top!

This homemade guacamole recipe is delicious, adding in fresh tomatoes both into the guacamole and decorating the interior of the serving bowl. Once it’s all made, then sour cream is squeezed out on top to make spiderwebs!

We often make this for family movie night near Halloween to snack on, but it also makes a super fun party dip on the Halloween appetizer table!

Ingredients for Halloween Guacamole

  1. avocados
  2. diced tomatoes, fresh is best, but canned works if that’s all you have!
  3. onion
  4. lime juice
  5. salt
  6. cilantro
  7. sour cream for decoration spiderwebs

How to Make Homemade Guacamole

Prepare avocados. First, select ripe avocados that are easy to squeeze so you know they’ll be perfect for guacamole! Remove the pits and scoop the avocado into a medium-sized bowl. Mash with a spoon.

Ingredients. Add diced tomatoes, diced onions, lime juice, salt and fresh cilantro into bowl with avocados. Continue mixing to combine. Scoop guacamole out and put it in a nice serving bowl if you’d like.

Add remaining diced tomatoes on the edges of the bowl.

Using a pastry bag, decorate the top with sour cream spiderwebs. If you don’t have a pastry bag, simply place the sour cream in a plastic bag, and cut a hole in it to make your own DIY pastry bag.

Serve with tortilla chips and veggies. Enjoy!

Yum! I hope you enjoy this festive guacamole recipe, perfect for your next Halloween bash!

How to Make Sour Cream Spiderwebs

Don’t worry – they’re easy to make! If I can make them – then you can too! Make sure you watch my attached recipe video so you can see how easy they are to make!

To make the spiderwebs you need to put your sour cream into a pastry bag with a fine tip.  Alternatively you can just use a plastic bag, cutting a hole in it to make your own DIY pastry bag. I also recently saw that some sour cream brands have squeeze bottles, so check them out at the grocery store too!

You’ll want to do spiral circles around the entire top, and then use a toothpick to fine tune and spread the webs throughout.   At the end add some small plastic spiders into the webs!
