This easy baked Salmon is the perfect go-to recipe! Marinated with lemon, garlic, and olive oil, it’s packed with flavor and baked to tender, flaky perfection. Quick enough for busy nights yet impressive for special occasions, it’s a dish that always delivers.
The Best Baked Salmon
This is hands down the best baked salmon I’ve ever made. The salmon fillets are flaky, filled with mouth watering flavor and smell so good!
I marinate the salmon fillets for an hour with a simple mixture of olive oil, lemon juice, minced garlic and dried herbs. After it marinates in the fridge for an hour, I throw it into the oven and bake it. When it’s done, the heavens will open and angels will sing. Or dinner will be ready. Even my kids were like “Is there more Mom?” when they finished their plates! It’s that good.
For a full comfort meal, I love serving this baked salmon with my favorite mashed potatoes and crispy roasted broccoli.
What Temperature Should You Bake Salmon?
The best temperature for baking moist and flaky salmon in the oven is 375 degrees F. I cook the salmon in aluminum foil for 35-45 minutes for full flavor and tenderness.
How to Bake Salmon in the Oven
Make the marinade by mixing all the ingredients into a bowl.
Add salmon directly into the bowl (no need to dirty more dishes) and spoon some of the marinade on top to cover it.
Cover the mixing bowl and refrigerate for at least an hour.
Rip off a large piece of aluminum foil and place down in a 9×9 baking dish. Add salmon onto the aluminum foil, followed by the marinade.
Seal the aluminum foil so you can’t see the salmon anymore.
Bake until the salmon is moist and flaky. Serve with your favorite side dishes and enjoy! I hope you love this oven baked salmon as much as we do!
