turkey breast in slow cooker.

This slow cooker turkey breast recipe is the easiest way to cook a juicy turkey breast! You only need 3 ingredients! Just toss everything into your crockpot, and in 7 hours, you’ll have a delicious meal. This recipe is perfect for Thanksgiving or just because! Even if you’ve never cooked a turkey before, you can whip up a delicious, tender meal with minimal effort.

Why You’ll Love This Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Not only is this recipe simple, but the turkey comes out tender, juicy, and packed with flavor! This easy slow cooker turkey breast recipe will be your new go-to way to prepare your turkey. The end result is a delicious turkey that took you less time to prep than making a salad. Granted, this recipe calls for a smaller bird. But if you are hosting a small Thanksgiving dinner or just want to serve up some delicious turkey for your family this week, this recipe is perfect.

This is a great option to make during the summer, when it’s too hot to turn on your oven. The best part. You can even enjoy the leftover turkey for days to come in a variety of ways. This recipe is my favorite way to cook a turkey. It saves so much time and tastes just as good as making it in the oven.

Recipe Help

Juicy Turkey With No Broth

It is important to mention that you don’t need to add any liquid to the slow cooker. The turkey will produce enough of its own juices to make a delicious whole turkey, with lots remaining for gravy.  This recipe usually makes 4 cups of gravy!

You will be shocked by how naturally juicy the turkey will become without adding additional broth or water. At the end of cooking time, there will be plenty of juices left over to make homemade gravy!

Once you remove the turkey from your crockpot, you can use the turkey broth at the bottom of the slow cooker to make a flavorful gravy! If you prefer to use a gravy packet, that works too! But honestly, using the juices makes the best gravy with such a great flavor. You won’t want to miss it.

Want to cook on high?

If you need this recipe to speed up, you can cook it on high for 3-4 hours.

Want to make your own dry onion soup mix?

If you don’t have packaged dry onion soup mix, you can easily make your own. Instead of buying a packet of dry onion soup mix, it’s easy to make your own! Here’s what you need for a 1-ounce envelope of dry soup mix.

  • Dried onion flakes
  • Beef bouillon granules (low sodium)
  • Onion powder
  • Dried parsley
  • Celery seed
  • Paprika
  • Black pepper

Is it safe to cook a turkey in a slow cooker on low?

As long as you take into consideration the size of the turkey breast, you can safely cook a turkey in a slow cooker on low or even high if you need it done in a pinch! Cooking your turkey in a slow cooker is the perfect way to enjoy a delicious turkey dinner with half the work and none of the clean-up! You’ll even be able to make a delicious turkey gravy with the remaining juices from the bottom of the crockpot!

What to Serve With Slow Cooker Turkey Breast

Wondering what to serve alongside your moist turkey breast? You can serve this with a traditional Thanksgiving meal with potato stuffing (the best!!!), green bean casserole, mashed potatoes, buttered noodles, succotash, sweet potato casserole, etc. Or you can serve it with any side dish of your choosing, delicious spinach salads with apples and walnuts, and more.

It’s a great recipe to serve as the main dish at small gatherings. This delicious recipe will make enough turkey for a small Thanksgiving meal or to serve your family for the evening and even the next day. I hope you enjoy this crockpot turkey breast recipe as much as I do! We get a lot of use out of this simple recipe, especially around the holiday season.
