Strawberry Spinach Salad Recipe

You are going to love this Strawberry Spinach Salad recipe because it’s delicious, healthy and super easy to make. And I know it’s totally silly to say, but the salad kinda screams “romantic” to me with all those juicy berries! It’ll put you in the mood for… a good salad! 🙂

Here’s a recipe video I made just to show you how simple it is to make!

What do you put in Strawberry Salad?

The main ingredients are fresh spinach, strawberries and blueberries, with a homemade dressing on top made with sesame seeds, balsamic vinegar and other simple ingredients. Finally, slivered almonds are sprinkled on top.

Tip!

I love sharing ways to store fruits and veggies to make them last longer! Here’s how to store strawberries, and how to store greens!

Can you eat spinach raw in a salad?

Yes, you can eat raw spinach in a salad. The best type of greens for salads are milder, young leaves. Eating spinach has many health benefits, providing fiber and essential vitamins.

Make sure to keep spinach refrigerated and always wash it beforehand, even if the store bought container says it’s been washed – wash it again to be safe.

Sesame Seed Balsamic Vinegar Dressing

You are going to love the dressing for this salad, I consider it the star of the show!

The dressing is made with sesame seeds, sugar, olive oil, balsamic vinegar, paprika, Worcestershire sauce and minced red onion, mixed together and then chilled for 1 hour.

How to Make Strawberry Salad

Make your Balsamic Vinegar Dressing, cover with plastic wrap and place in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour. During this time all the flavors are going to marinate together making a delicious dressing.

In a large salad serving bowl, mix spinach, strawberries, blueberries and almonds together.

Pour the dressing on top, and then mix to coat all the berries and spinach.

This salad is best if you chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving. This will make sure the spinach stays crisp and crunchy!

Tip!

Want to take it to the next level? You can add some feta or roasted squash on top before serving!

I hope you enjoy this Strawberry Spinach Salad!

Can you make this salad in advance?

Yes you can! Make the dressing and prepare all the ingredients, by measuring them out and storing them in separate containers. When it’s time to serve, put everything in a big salad bowl and toss the salad with dressing.
