How To Make Homemade Salisbury Steak
In a medium sized bowl combine 1/4 cup of French Onion Soup, 1/4 cup of Cream of Mushroom Soup, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

Shape into 6 steak patties. Place in 13×9 casserole dish that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. For easy freezer meals I like to use foil pans (this one is “lasagna size”). You could also use a 13×9 casserole dish, but keep in mind if you only have 1 or 2 casserole dishes and you freeze them, you might run into some trouble if you need a fresh dish for dinner one night and realize all yours are in the freezer. For this reason I like to keep a few foil pans on hand (plus they are easy cleanup – no dishes!).

Once the steaks are baking for 30 minutes you can start making your delicious mushroom gravy. In a small bowl combine remaining soup, water, milk and mushrooms. Pour over steak patties. Bake for 10 more minutes.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Look at how delicious this looks!

How To Freeze Salisbury Steak
After cooking your Salisbury Steak, let it cool completely. Once cooled, transfer the patties and gravy to an airtight, freezer-safe container or wrap tightly with plastic wrap and then a layer of aluminum foil to prevent freezer burn. Label with the date and freeze for up to 3 months.
When ready to enjoy, thaw overnight in the refrigerator. Remove any foil or plastic wrap, cover with fresh foil, and bake at 350°F (175°C) for 35–45 minutes, until heated through and bubbly. For extra crisp edges, uncover the last 5–10 minutes of baking.
This method keeps your make-ahead freezer Salisbury Steak moist, flavorful, and ready for a quick weeknight dinner!

And just like that you have the easiest, most delicious Homemade Salisbury Steak that your family is going to love. Make sure to serve with mashed potatoes so you can add some creamy gravy on top of them too!

I hope you enjoy this Salisbury Steak for dinner!
