This Easy Apple Waffles recipe is made with fresh diced apples, cinnamon, and vanilla for the coziest fall flavor. These apple cinnamon waffles come together quickly and make the perfect fall breakfast that your whole family will love!
The Best Apple Waffles Ever (Crispy Outside, Fluffy Inside!)
These apple cinnamon waffles are everything I love about fall mornings—warm, cozy, and packed with fresh apple flavor. Made with diced apples, cinnamon, and vanilla, they taste like a cross between a fluffy waffle and a slice of warm apple pie. If you’ve been apple picking and came home with way more apples than you planned (don’t we all?), this is the perfect breakfast to make next. They cook up quickly and leave your whole kitchen smelling like autumn.
My family loves these waffles just as much as our apple pie cookies and apple pancakes, and they’ve become a go-to weekend treat once the weather cools down. Whether you’re meal-prepping breakfast for the week or making a big stack for a slow Sunday morning, these easy apple waffles will instantly become a fall favorite. Cozy, comforting, and full of apple goodness—what more could you want?
How to make easy apple waffles from scratch
Dice the apples into very small chunks. If you notice, I don’t peel them!
Mix the milk, butter, egg, and vanilla together in a large bowl.
Next, add the flour, baking powder, sugar, cinnamon, and salt to the same bowl. Mix until you have a smooth waffle batter. Now add in the diced apples.
Place a scoop of batter in the middle of a preheated waffle iron and cook until each waffle is crisp.
Serve the hot waffles with maple syrup, powdered sugar, or with any other toppings you love!
How to freeze waffles
Craving waffles but not the fuss? Make a big batch of these apple pie waffles and freeze them for simple breakfast meals! Once they’re done cooking, place the waffles in a sealed freezer bag and freeze for up to 3 months. Just defrost them in a toaster and enjoy!
