These easy, juicy crockpot mushrooms are made with just butter, garlic, and salad dressing mix in 4 hours. Perfect as a savory side dish or appetizer!
Juicy Crockpot Mushrooms
This recipe makes the most juicy, tender buttery mushrooms ever! And even better, they’re so easy to make! Throw all the ingredients into the slow cooker, cook for 4 hours and you have the most delicious mushrooms!
Serve as a side dish (especially good on steak!) or triple the recipe to make a big batch for your next potluck. Warning though, these will be the first gone, and everyone will be asking you for the recipe!

You need Ranch Salad Dressing Mix
For this recipe you need a package of ranch salad dressing mix. I am not a big ranch salad dressing fan, but these don’t taste “ranchy” (I just made up that word). The salad dressing mix gives them a zesty taste, perfect to compliment the butter, so don’t be scared of the ranch dressing! Alternatively, you can also use an envelope of Italian dressing mix which provides a good flavor too!
Can I add onions?
Oh you are thinking good things! Add a sliced onions into the crockpot with the mushrooms while they cook. This is a perfect side dish served on top of a juicy steak!
How to Make Mushrooms in the Slow Cooker
Add mushrooms, butter, garlic and ranch salad dressing mix into the slow cooker.
Close the lid and cook.
Serve and enjoy! So easy, right?!
Storing Leftovers
To store leftover crockpot mushrooms, keep them in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days. You can also freeze them for longer storage, though the texture may change slightly upon reheating. To reheat, warm them on the stovetop or in the microwave until heated through.

I have a mixture of mushrooms: maitake, oyster, shitaki, enoki, baby bella, and jumbo button. Can i cook all of these in slow cooker? Together?? Too hot to use stove so trying to only use slow cooker. Love your recipes. Thanks

Hi Shawntel, I’m jealous by all the different mushrooms you have! I’ve never done this but I don’t see why it wouldn’t work! Hope you like the recipe! 🙂
Shawntel says
Just started baby bellas. Will put the enoki in later since they are a lot smaller but i did some research i the maitake and shitake are not recommended to cook this way. Going to pan fry in morning to go with my crock potted lemon garlic pork loin filet with a cream sauce made from the pork liquids. With a good basmati rice.

Ok, this sounds soooo good Shawntel. Just tell me what time dinner will be and I will be there.

We are grave yarders so we had it this morning for “brinner”. Turned out awesome. Made it totally dairy free using plant based heavy cream. So yummy and everyone enjoyed it. Thanks so much for the crock pot trick for mushrooms. They tasted amazing!

Can I add these to a pot roast in crockpot 4 hrs before roast finishes?
Lucy Holland says
Other sites recommend not using the crock pot. These were perfect. But I must admit I may have set timer for 3 hours. ??? It was difficult to add the Ranch dried dressing, that horrible ready made Ranch dip was what came to mind.. This incredibly delicious.
