Mozzarella Cheese sticks designed to look like severed bloody fingers! These are so fun for a Halloween party or snack time!  When I surprised my kids with these the first time they screamed in delight!

Bloody Finger Cheese Sticks

Looking for a terrifying food idea for Halloween? Then you need to make these bloody finger cheese sticks! My kids absolutely loved them, with my little one yelling “more fingers!!”. 😂

You can throw these together in just minutes with minimum ingredients. They make such a fun snack or a great appetizer plate to add to the Halloween party table!

How many should you make? Each cheese stick makes 2 bloody fingers, so 6 cheese sticks would make 12 fingers! I say 2-3 fingers is good per person!

Btw, loving my new pink ghostie tablecloth!

Ingredients

  • mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • almonds, cut in half (any nut would work)
  • marinara or pizza sauce

How to Make Halloween Cheese Fingers!

Remove the cheese sticks from the wrapper and round off the edges so they resemble more of a finger shape. They don’t have to be perfect!

Roughly tear each cheese stick in half. Try to tear them as irregular as possible, as the tearing cheese will look like tendons!

Using a small knife, (carefully) cut a fingernail bed on each cheese stick.

Now, cut up 2-3 little wrinkles for the knuckles on each finger.

Serve and enjoy these super fun (and terrifying) bloody fingers!

Can I make these in advance?

Yes, you can make these a few hours in advance. Just make sure to keep them in the refrigerator until you serve.

Prep Time: 15 minutes minutes
Cook Time: 0 minutes minutes
Total Time 10 minutes minutes
serves 6

Ingredients

  • 6 mozzarella string cheese sticks
  • 6 almonds cut in half
  • marinara sauce

Instructions

  • Take the cheese sticks out of their plastic wrappers and round off the edges to give them a more finger-like appearance.
  • Roughly tear each cheese stick in half. For a more realistic look, aim for uneven tears, as this will mimic the look of tendons!
  • Carefully use a small knife to carve out a nail bed at one end of each cheese stick.
  • Next, add 2-3 small wrinkles along the length of each “finger” to resemble knuckles.
  • Spread some sauce on a plate to create the appearance of small blood puddles.
  • Dip the bottom of each cheese finger into the sauce, then place it on the plate.
  • Finish by pressing half an almond onto the end of each finger to create the nail.
  • Serve and enjoy these spooky, yet fun, bloody fingers!

Notes

How many should you make? Each cheese stick makes 2 bloody fingers, so 6 cheese sticks would make 12 fingers! I say 2-3 fingers is good per person!
