Is it possible to write about jam without constantly hearing this song play in your head? We’re jammin’, I wanna jam it wid you. We’re jammin’, jammin’, And I hope you like blueberry jammin’, too.
Blueberry jam reminds me of my childhood. Not because my mother made homemade jam, actually I don’t think she’s ever made homemade jam in her life. It reminds me of a donut that
Dunkin Donuts Mister Donuts had called “The Blueberry Bismark”. I searched for this and Google basically told me it does not exist but they lie because trust me I had a few too many Blueberry Mismarks as a kid to forget this great treat. The donut had a creamy sweet vanilla icing which was super soft and it was filled with blueberry jam. I knew I was a good girl when Mom brought me home a Blueberry Bismark. I wish that was how life was today. Oh I cleaned my bedroom, is somebody going to bring me home a donut? Please, bring me a home a donut.
I was wanting some blueberry jam but I didn’t want to make a big batch of it, in fact I wanted to make jam with just 1 pint of blueberries. I had this one pint of blueberries staring at me in the eyes for the past week and I was seeing jam. Jam it was! We jammin.. We jammin (sorry, I can’t help it). This jam recipe is great because it’s quick, it’s easy, and it makes 4 oz of blueberry jam which is a perfect amount. How do I use my blueberry jam? On toast, on muffins, peanut butter and jelly sandwiches! I would recommend it over ice cream too. Actually I would recommend you just eat it with a spoon out of the jar because it’s that good but I’m a horrible influence.
