No Bake Oreo Pie Recipe

This no-bake chocolate Oreo pie is rich, creamy, and packed with double the chocolate flavor. It has a smooth chocolate filling made with melted chocolate and Cool Whip, all in a crunchy homemade Oreo cookie crust.

No oven needed—just chill it in the fridge until set for the perfect make-ahead dessert.

Each bite combines creamy chocolate mousse texture with the crunch of Oreos. You can use a store-bought Oreo crust, but making your own only takes minutes and tastes even better.

I love chocolate desserts (can you tell?). If you do too, try my Gooey Chocolate Butter Cake or Chocolate Zucchini Cake next — both are rich, fudgy, and easy to make.

This easy no-bake pie is perfect for holidays, birthdays, or anytime you’re craving something sweet and chocolatey. Just make sure to leave enough timeto refrigerate it before serving!

How to Make A Easy Oreo Pie

To make the Oreo cookie crust, crush the cookies in a large zip‑lock bag with a rolling pin until small pieces remain (for a crunchy texture) or smooth if you prefer. You can also chop them on a cutting board or pulse them in a food processor for a finer crust.

Stir in the melted chocolate mixture to create the creamy chocolate filling and once combined pour it into the pie pan on top of the crust.

Decorate if desired, such as extra chocolate chips or whipped cream. Place in the refrigerator overnight, then serve when ready and enjoy your no bake chocolate cream pie!

Decorating Ideas

Decorating your decadent pie is optional. However, if you want to have some fun with it, here are some suggestions:

  • Sprinkle chocolate chips around the edge of the pie (what I usually do!), or use leftover Oreo crumbs for a crunchy alternative.
  • Use whipped cream to decorate on top.
  • Either on top of the whipped cream or on top of the creamy chocolate filling, sprinkle with chocolate chips or shavings.
  • Use whole Oreos to top each slice.
  • If you’re making this for a specific holiday, you can opt to use appropriate color-themed sprinkles or chocolate candies on top as well.

Storing Leftovers

Refrigerate: Keep the pie covered in the fridge for up to 4–5 days.

Freeze: You can freeze the pie (well-wrapped) for up to 1 month; thaw in the fridge before serving.

Serving tip: Slice straight from the fridge for the cleanest pieces.

Prep Time: 10 minutes minutes
Cook Time: 5 minutes minutes
Total Time 15 minutes minutes
serves 8

Ingredients

For the crust

  • 24 Oreo cookies crushed
  • 1/4 cup butter melted

For the pie filling

  • 12 ounce bag semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 cup whole milk
  • 8 ounces Cool Whip thawed
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Instructions

To make the crust

  • In a bowl mix the crushed oreo cookies and butter until you have a crumbly mixture.
  • Press cookie mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch pie dish. Set aside.

To make the pie filling

  • Melt chocolate chips in a medium-sized saucepan over medium heat until melted, stirring often. Add in milk and stir until well combined.
  • In a large bowl mix together Cool Whip, powdered sugar and vanilla. Make sure the Cool Whip is thawed or you won't be able to mix it.
  • Stir melted chocolate mixture into the Cool Whip bowl and continue to mix until completely combined.
  • Pour filling mixture into the pie dish on top of the crust. Leave as is, or decorate the top with additional chocolate chips or whipped cream.
  • Place in refrigerator and chill overnight (recommended), or at least 5 hours. Serve and enjoy!

I want to make the No Bake Chocolate Oreo Pie, but I live in Asia and can’t buy Coolwhip. I have access to buying whipped cream in pressurized cans, though, and also regular whipping cream, but not the heavy whipping cream… I wondered if you could tell me if any of that kind of whipped cream might work, and how much I’d have to use…Thanks for any ideas/help you can give!

Quick question: Do you use the whole oreo cookie for the crust including the cream center or just the outsides? Thanks so much!!!
