Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Granola is a healthy easy breakfast idea for toddlers that the entire family will love. This recipe is made by Mom, tasted and approved by my toddler! Similar to overnight oats, but made with granola instead!
Breakfast Ideas for Toddlers
Is there ever enough time in the morning? I say no. Throw in a toddler who won’t put on her coat, and requires a drop off at daycare, then it feels like every morning is a rush to get out the door and get to work.
What would make the mornings easier? If my toddler would just let me put on her coat! Seriously. Please just stop laying on the ground with your arms glued to your side. Please for your Mother’s sanity!
What else?
An easy and delicious breakfast for the entire family to enjoy! Let me introduce you to our current favorite breakfast: Chocolate Strawberry Overnight Granola!
Overnight Granola
Overnight Granola is similar to Overnight Oats but made with granola instead. I use Back to Nature‘s Chocolate Delight Granola which is my family’s favorite. I buy ours at Whole Foods when I do my weekly grocery store trek with my daughter in the stroller.
Like I mentioned, we love the Chocolate Delight variety but Back to Nature offers 12 different varieties of granolas that include whole grain oats, fiber and protein in them – perfect for the first meal of the day. The Chocolate Delight flavor has whole grain rolled oats with dark chocolate chunks. (Secret: this granola is so good that sometimes I just throw a handful in my mouth as a snack!).
Back to Nature is one of our favorite brands, not just for breakfast, but we love their snack cookies and crackers too. I love that their snacks are simple with quality ingredients, things that I feel right about feeding to my family.
Right now you can save at Whole Foods: buy 1, get $1.75 cash back on nuts and granola or buy 1, get $1.00 cash back on cookies & crackers. Here’s the coupon on Ibotta.
Breakfast for Toddlers
Along with granola, you add in almond milk, a bunch of chopped up strawberries, some maple syrup for sweetness, flax seeds and a little bit of cinnamon for taste. Strawberries are my daughter’s favorite fruit, so when I created this recipe I had her in mind 100%.
You place all the ingredients in a mason jar and then let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. I make a couple of these for my family of 3. These can also last for 2 nights, so you can make a couple in advance too if you’d like!
In the morning before eating, I like to add a little handful of extra granola and a strawberry on top!
I hope you love this Overnight Granola breakfast as much as my family does!
