Welcome Home Proxima!

Posted:9/4/20

On August 4 we became a family of 4 humans and 2 cats. Welcome home Proxima Eleven Reed Rader, our rainbow baby has arrived.

As some of you know, we’ve had a tough time growing our family, so we’re thrilled to finally have this girl in our arms and hearts. It almost doesn’t feel real, considering the journey we had. Thanks to everyone who personally reached out to let me know they were rooting for my family, those messages really helped me stay positive.

Enceladus, has been knocking the “big sister” role out of the park. She’s thrilled to help, and has already begun telling her bedtime stories. I overheard her a few days ago say to her “You’re my favorite girl, Proxima”, followed by a big kiss. My heart exploded.

We’re all still getting to know each other, and our schedule is as topsy-turvy as it gets, but we’re growing together. And by the way, having 2 kids is not twice as hard, it’s about 4 times as hard! Mom and Dad need a nap. 🙂 Even with the sleepless nights, and the 3-year-old sass, I’m so happy we’re all together now.

Proxima, I promise that I’ll be your best friend forever.  And I know you’re going to have so much fun with Enceladus, and learn so much from her. I can’t wait to see you 2 run around together. Happy 1 month girl.  I love you.

Hi – my doctor just confirmed my third miscarriage today. This is all still very raw for me. I can’t believe this. Im devastated. I also have adenomyosis which is why I think I’ve been miscarrying. Should we keep trying? Im losing hope .

I’m experiencing my 4th early miscarriage now, and your story has given me hope. Thank you so much.. question: Did they ever find anything causing your difficulties? Everything for me is coming back normal (If not optimal) and I’m at a loss for words. I appreciate you sharing so much..thank you

    Hello,

Did you ever get diagnosis for recurrent losses? If so which one and what treatment did you have?

I am so happy about you happy ending. My story is same but I don’t have happy ending yet. I have had 3 miscarriages in 10 months and it’s been draining. I don’t know how to feel anymore. Last one was few days ago and I am just crushed. I was hoping this one would make it. I try to stay positive and will continue trying. Like I told my doctor conceiving for me is easy but I can’t seem to carry it.

I would love to hear more about your journey with this pregnancy. I have been going through something similar, have had 3 miscarriages since January 2020, now im pregnant again for the 4th time.. Everyone of my miscarriages had happened at week 5, the longest being at 2 days before week 6. Now its weds night, and Friday will be 6 weeks.. I also have had all testing done and they said everything looked fine and good so they never figured out why I was having miscarriages like that. Also I do have one kid so before all the miscarriages I did have a successful pregnancy, that was 14 years ago though. Im just trying my best to stay calm and not get my hopes up, because I have been consistently cramping ever since my period should have came, so I still feel like I may start bleeding at any time. I also am like you as I have been scouring the internet trying to find stories or anyone else that has been through this and has a successful outcome. So I would love to hear more about your pregnancy.

I’ve just gone through my 3rd loss in a row too….. I also have other children so no idea why this has happened. Worried about trying again…. please get in touch if you want to chat – none of my friends have had the same situation as me with all the losses. Internet seems the best for answers sometimes. Please keep me posted about your pregnancy – I’m keeping everything crossed you are ok xx

I just had my third loss. I even made it to 14 weeks. I have two healthy boys. I am lost. Talking to people in similar situations is very helpful.

Oh my gosh, Pam…I’m so out of the loop! I think I did remember seeing that baby #2 was on your horizon. And, now congratulations are in order. Wishing you all just the best life and happy “growing” of your little ones.
