How to Make Amish Butter Noodles
In a medium-sized pot add the tablespoons of butter, chicken broth, and bouillon cube, bringing to a low boil on medium-high heat. Mix to fully melt butter.
Add egg noodles into the pot with the melted butter mixture, and bring to a second boil.
Now here’s the secret cooking method that makes them so fluffy: Turn off the heat, cover the pot with a lid and allow it to stand for 30 minutes on the burner. Take the lid off and stir every 10 minutes.
Season with a little salt to taste (if needed), and serve!
How to Store Leftovers
If you have leftovers, you can store your Amish buttered noodles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days. They are great to enjoy for lunch or as a side dish with dinner the following day.
