Video Tour of the Garden!

Posted:9/12/16

Check out the video tour of our vegetable garden! Want to see what’s growing in Upstate New York?

Hey guys! I made you a video tour of the garden. It’s like MTV Cribs but with vegetables instead of cars.  What’s growing in September in our garden? Watch the video to find out!

This was our harvest last weekend!   Munchkin pumpkins, 20 pounds of cherry tomatoes, corn, almost the end to cucumbers and green beans, Brussels Sprouts, cabbage, jalapeños, tomatillos, Roma tomatoes, beef tomatoes and some big pumpkins!

As I mentioned in this post we’ve bee using Dave Thompson’s Organic Healthy Grow fertilizers on some of our vegetables this year and as you can see they are growing good!  Since fertilizers are important in freshening up your soil every year (think of it as vitamins that your plants need!), I wanted to give you some tips on what you should use because not every fertilizer is created equal.

For example, look at these 2 fertilizers here. Healthy Grow is off to the left, while a competitor is off to the right.  You can see the differences just by looking at them!  Healthy Grow fertilizer goes through a unique pelletizing process that produces uniform pieces that allows for maximum penetration.  You can see the competitor has extremely high dusting due to it’s consistency. If you watch the video above you’ll see the dusting live in action!  For easy and effective application to the soil you want low dusting like Healthy Grow has.   Because of how it’s made Healthy Grow also has extremely low odor compared to other manure fertilizers in market, this is due to the process of how it is developed.

I love seeing everything grow so much in just 6 weeks!

We picked 20 pounds of cherry tomatoes last weekend and there’s no stopping in the near future!

For our tomatoes we use Healthy Grow “tomato” product which is a 3-3-6 formula (Nitrogen, Phosphate, Potassium). This fertilizer is packed with a blend of nutrients derived from composted chicken manure, father meal and sulfate of Potash.

This is SO awesome!!! We only grow a few things and our season is short. We grow a bunch of herbs, rhubarb, strawberries and onions. We would love to expand that next year. You have such an impressive garden! Great video too! 25 ears of corn last weekend? That’s freakin’ fantastic and you can’t get an fresher than picking out of your own garden 🙂

This is way better than any episode of MTV Cribs I’ve ever seen!! Haha I guess I prefer vegetables to cars 🙂 But seriously, your garden is stunning!
