Ok, if you have kids or pets then you need machine washable rugs! Accidents happen, fairly often, so how great is it to have a rug that can easily be cleaned by just throwing it in the washing machine?
Lorena Canals rugs basically changed my life and made accidents not so stressful anymore. With 4 cats, a baby, and a tendency to like to eat our dinner on the floor, our rugs have seen their share of “uh oh” moments. From bottle spills, to Enceladus throwing avocado, to cat hairballs, to me being clumsy and spilling tea, our rugs kinda never have looked that clean, until now!
Here’s our rug in Terrazzo Marble which is 100% cotton and machine-washable! The rugs fit in a standard washer and dryer and use all natural dyes. They’re handmade in India (designed in Spain)! I’m currently eyeing up the Universe rug to add to our home next, but there’s many more to choose from for your own house!
PS. We just baby proofed our beautiful cement tables! AHHHH!
Now when Enceladus throws avocado to the cats and smears it into the rug, it’s ok, I can pick it up and throw it in the washing machine and just like – it looks brand new! No more kneeling over and scrubbing the carpet with hopes that the cat stain will come out! Plus it makes lounging fun when you don’t have to worry about stains! Now I can grab my baby, a couple of books, some snacks (tea for me, broccoli puffs for her) and we can snuggle on the rug during the weekend.
And don’t forget accessories! They need to be easily cleaned too! I about fainted when I saw they had a washable Saturn cushion pillow! Enceladuds is named after one of Saturn’s Moons, so this pillow is basically made for us!
And for her toys that seem to multiple on a daily basis, we love the pink Pebbles cotton basket! It’s great for storing toys (like Mr. Saturn below!), magazines, blankets, etc! The pom poms are so cute I’m thinking about getting a few more for her bedroom!
And if you were wondering if the rug passed the cat comfort test – yes, it did! The cats LOVE the rug.
