Apple Spice Crumble Bars

EASY APPLE Spice Crumble Bars that uses 1 cup of apple sauce! These dessert bars are perfect for Fall time, with a delicious cinnamon sugar crumble on top! I love how simple they are to make and my family thinks they're the best apple recipe! 

Ingredients

For the bars

  • 1/4 cup butter - softened
  • 2/3 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup whole wheat flour
  • 1 cup applesauce
  • 1 teaspoons pumpkin pie spice
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

For the crumble

  • 2 tablespoon flour
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 5 tablespoons brown sugar

Instructions

For the bars

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Spray nonstick spray to 8x8 pan.
  2. In a bowl mix butter, sugar, egg and flours.
  3. Add in applesauce and continue stirring.
  4. Add pumpkine pie spice, baking soda and salt and stir until smooth.
  5. Spread mixture into your sprayed pan.
  6. After crumble is made, sprkinkle on top and bake 25-30 mnutes.
  7. Let cool for 10 minutes and then cut up into sized bars desired.

For the crumble

  1. Combine flour, cinnamon and brown sugar.
  2. Cut in your butter until it's crumbly.
  3. Add to the top of your pan of bars evenly.
