This New York City style pizza dough is quick and easy to make! Throw all the ingredients into your bread machine pan and then once it's done, bake a thick crust brick oven style pizza! Recipe makes (2) 12 inch pizzas.
Place all the ingredients into your baking pan in the order that your bread machine manufacturer recommends. I listed them in order of my bread machine.
Press the course button for Bread/Pizza and then START.
After bread machine finishes, place dough ball in a bowl, cover with towel and allow to rest for 20 minutes in a warm spot. Split dough into 2 balls, this will make (2) 12 inch pizzas.
Place the dough on a round pizza pan and stretch out into a circle that is about 12 inches in diameter. Repeat for 2 pizzas.
Let's make a pizza: Pre-bake the pizza dough on the pizza pan at 550°F for 3 minutes to keep it from getting soggy before you add any sauce or cheese. Note: If your oven doesn't go to 550, do as high as you can but you will need to add additional time.Add your pizza sauce and cheese. You can use shredded mozzarella or fresh mozzarella, depending on your preference. Bake for 5 more minutes, checking often to get that crispy, charred crust.
