Recipe for salisbury steak using hamburger

This is a easy Salisbury Steak recipe that is baked in the oven. This simple dinner uses a homemade mushroom gravy, ground beef and bread crumbs.

Ingredients You Need

Condensed French Onion Soup Condensed Cream of Mushroom Soup ground beef bread crumbs egg pepper Worcestershire sauce water milk fresh mushrooms

ARE YOU READY TO MAKE SIMPLE  SALISBURY STEAK?

Combine soups, ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, pepper and Worcestershire sauce.

Shape into 6 steak patties. Place in 13×9 casserole dish that has been sprayed with nonstick spray. For easy freezer meals I like to use foil pans (this one is “lasagna size”).  Bake.

In a small bowl combine remaining soup, water, milk and mushrooms. Pour over steak patties and bake a little  more.

Remove from oven and allow to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve next to mashed potatoes and vegetables.

How to Freeze Salisbury Steak

After it’s done cooking, allow to cool and then double wrap with aluminum foil on top.  Then into the freezer it goes.    Once ready to eat, thaw in refrigerator overnight.  Remove foil on top and bake at 350 degrees.
