This easy Italian Sausage Pasta is made with just 5 ingredients and ready in less than an hour. Filled with tender rigatoni and baked mushrooms, this is one of the best hearty and comforting dishes your family will love!
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Cover a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup. Place sausage links on the baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven, flip sausages. Add mushrooms to the same baking pan and drizzle 1 tablespoon olive oil on top of them, stirring. Bake for 15 minutes more. Remove from oven and cut sausage links up into 1 inch pieces.
While sausages are baking, cook rigatoni pasta in a pot of salted water. Cook according to instructions on box and drain.
In a large frying pan over medium high heat, add cooked pasta, sausage, mushrooms and pasta sauce. Cook until pasta sauce is thoroughly heated.
Serve on plates, adding a little sprinkle of parsley and Parmesan cheese on top (optional). Enjoy!

Can I pan fry the sausage instead? Yes! If you don’t want to bake the sausages, pan fry them in a skillet with a thin layer of water. Bring it up to a simmer, place a lid on top, and cook until the water evaporates and the sausages are brown on all sides.
