16oz bagdried black beanswashed, drained and check for any small stones
(2)15 ounce cansdiced tomatoesdon't drain
1smallonionfinely chopped
3clovesgarlicminced
1/4cupbrown sugar
2tablespoonscumin
1tablespoononion powder
4cupschicken broth(or vegetable broth)
Instructions
Add all your ingredients to the slow cooker, stirring so everything is combined.
Close lid and cook on HIGH for 4 hours. After 4 hours, if your beans aren't soft, cook for 30 minutes more. You can also cook on LOW for 6-8 hours, checking them at the 6 hour mark.
Serve on tortillas for black bean tacos and enjoy! (Or use them for any other delicious recipe!)
