1.5poundsboneless skinless chicken breastcut into 2 inch thin slices
2green bell pepperssliced
1red bell peppersliced
1smallonionsliced
1lime
Instructions
Combine vegetable oil, taco seasoning, chicken, peppers and onions in a large plastic bag. Mix to shake and coat the chicken and vegetables with seasoning.
Place the bag in the refrigerator and marinate, for at least 15 minutes - up to 24 hours.
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Spray a baking sheet with nonstick spray. Pour chicken and pepper mixture out onto the pan, spreading it out, so it’s a single layer.
Bake in the oven for 18–20 minutes, or until chicken is fully cooked inside.
Remove from the oven and squeeze the juice of the lime on top.
Serve on tortillas with your favorite toppings (avocado, salsa, sour cream, shredded cheese, cilantro, etc). Enjoy!
Notes
If you don't have a taco seasoning packet and would like to make your own homemade fajitas seasoning, use this: 2 teaspoons chili powder, 1 teaspoon dried oregano, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, 1/2 teaspoon onion powder, 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin, 1/2 teaspoon salt, 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper, 1 pinch cayenne (optional, adds a little bit of spice).
