Servings 4

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons butter - melted
  • 2 eggs

  1. In a bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  2. Stir in buttermilk, melted butter and eggs. Stir until mixed completely. Your batter will appear thin but this is what we want.
  3. Pour 2/3 cup of batter into the middle of your waffle maker once heated.
  4. Close lid and cook 5-6 minutes or until golden brown.

Recipe Notes

To freeze: Put in freezer bag. I like to put wax paper in between each waffle so they don't freeze together. When ready to eat, just take out of the freezer and put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
