  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
  • 6 tablespoons butter - melted
  • 2 eggs

  • In a bowl mix together flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt.
  • Stir in buttermilk, melted butter and eggs. Stir until mixed completely. Your batter will appear thin but this is what we want.
  • Pour 2/3 cup of batter into the middle of your waffle maker once heated.
  • Close lid and cook 5-6 minutes or until golden brown.

To freeze: Put in freezer bag. I like to put wax paper in between each waffle so they don't freeze together. When ready to eat, just take out of the freezer and put in the microwave for 1-2 minutes.
