The BEST Cinnamon Sugar Applesauce recipe, ready in 20 minutes on the stovetop! All you need is apples, cinnamon, sugar and lemon juice! It's easy to make and tastes delicious! Perfect for canning if you have a bunch of apples from apple picking!
Bring a large pot of water with a steamer basket to a boil. Add apples and steam until soft, about 15 minutes.
Remove apples from steamer and place in bowl. Using a potato masher or spoon, mash until smooth. You can also use a food processor to make this easier.
Add sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice to bowl and stir.
Serve immediately or put in refrigerator to use within 1 week.
