ZOMBIE MEATLOAF

scary and delicious!

Halloween Meatloaf is a fun Halloween dinner recipe made with ground beef that is both spooky and tasty! Kids love that it looks like a zombie!

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 pounds ground beef 3/4 cup buttery crackers (like Ritz, crushed up) 3/4 cup shredded Cheddar cheese 1/4 cup onion finely chopped 2 eggs 1/4 cup pasta sauce 1 hard boiled egg cut in half For the tomato sauce glaze: 1/2 cup pasta sauce 1 tablespoon brown sugar 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce Additional for zombie face: few pieces of canned corn 1 olive chopped in slices

HOW TO MAKE

1. Add ground beef, crackers, cheddar cheese, onion, eggs, and pasta sauce to a large bowl.

2. Add the meatloaf mixture onto a prepared pan and shape it into a zombie’s face, sculpting out eye socks too.

3. Press down hard-boiled eggs into the eye sockets.

4. In a small bowl, mix pasta sauce, brown sugar, and Worcestershire sauce to make the tomato sauce glaze. Use a brush and spread it on the entire zombie face.

5.  Bake in the oven.

6.  Add pieces of corn for the teeth and slices of olives for the eyes.

7. Brush the remaining tomato sauce glaze on top of everything before serving.

OTHER SPOOKY THINGS TO ADD TO THE MEATLOAF:

– Instead of corn for teeth, you can get creative and use sliced garlic cloves or almonds. – Add small cocktail hot dogs or spaghetti-o’s on top of the skull head for brains! Yuck! Bonus points if you have little plastic mice to scatter around the zombie head.
