EASY DINNER RECIPE
10 minute creamed peas recipe made with butter, milk and chicken broth. You can serve as a side dish, or our favorite way – on top or mashed potatoes and toast for dinner!
FROZEN, CANNED OR FRESH?
If you’re trying to save time, use frozen or canned peas (drained) for this recipe! If you have a couple extra minutes and are growing peas in your garden, use fresh sweet peas.
Boil peas with chicken broth, salt and butter.
HOW TO MAKE:
Whisk together the cream sauce.
Add the cream mixture to the saucepan with peas and simmer until the sauce thickens.
Serve and enjoy these yummy creamed peas!
HOW TO SERVE
1. Serve as a side dish.
2. Serve over toast and mashed potatoes.
Brown ground beef or sausage, add them to the creamy peas and then serve over toast or over buttered cabbage.
