Real Mom Review of the Lotus Travel Crib, the lightweight pack and play that makes flying and airports so easy! Great for toddlers and babies! Trust me you need this!
The Best Pack and Play
When we were looking for a “pack and play”, I found that none of them were fitting our needs. We wanted something light, easy to travel with, and honestly, I wanted something that matched our modern apartment aesthetic. What’s a girl got to do to get a travel crib that doesn’t have hideous prints on it?
Then I found the Guava Family Lotus Travel Crib. It was everything I wanted.
Best Travel Crib
Yes, let’s get my favorite feature out of the way. If you’re going to travel with this, from airport to hotel, and everything in between, you can wear this in bookbag style. I can easily wear this and get through airport security while carrying a toddler, so you can too.
Here’s how easy it is to pick up and wear!
And what else? Get ready for this – it fits in the overhead bin on the plane. No more waiting for baggage and worrying that your baby gear got damaged. This has been such a time saver for traveling for us.
The style is sleek and modern. I apologize about the toys in the background, and that dirty little hand creeping into the frame in the above picture, but that’s real life. If you’re using this for your home, or maybe you want a travel crib that can easily move from your house to the grandparents, this is.
No more hiding that ugly pack and play when your friends come over to visit. Everyone is going to be asking you “What crib is that!”. It’s true, I’ve sold a few already in the past months when friends see it!

My other favorite feature is the zipper “window” that is one side of the crib. Why is this important? If you have a baby or a toddler that needs soothing when they sleep, then you know a little rub on the back or butt usually stops the crying. Now you can nestle up to your child, slip your arm in and rub them until you hear their little snores.
We were recently on a trip to Seattle with a teething toddler, and this came in such handy during the middle of the night!
It also comes in handy if you want to high 5 your favorite cat too.
Or if you want to have a doll baby party during the day, you can ask Mom to unzip your crib and bring your girls in there!
Seriously, she gets a real hoot out of being able to go in and out. Now if only I could say “Enceladus, go to sleep” and she would do it. 😉
Another big reason why I love it is because there is no weight limit as the mattress is supported by the floor. We wanted a travel crib that would last us for years, not something that was going to max out at 25 or 30 pounds. This is the only travel crib I could find that had no weight limit!
The Lotus is lightweight, 13 pounds, and designed to fit through doorways, so you can easily move it from room to room. This makes it easy to move around the house when you need to be in the kitchen, or in your office, or you’re just lounging in the family room.
Overall, this is one of the best baby purchases and is a must have recommendation for all families and expecting moms!
You can find the Lotus Travel Crib on Amazon or on the official Guava website.
