With a daughter named Enceladus, you can bet we love outer space. In wanting to keep her active, and to educate her about the exciting world of space, here are some of the best Outer Space Crafts for Preschoolers!

These are easy projects to do with your child, mostly ranging in the 2 to 6 years old age range, but honestly, I’m 34 years old and I have fun with these too! They are great projects to do for daycare, preschool, or at home (these are usually weekend projects for us!)

Educational Crafts

For example, when you make a UFO flying saucer (by the way, it’s so cool looking!), why not make up an alien invasion story to go with it? Have the children explain what the aliens look like!

Or when making the pom pom solar system mobile, this is going to teach the kids on how each planet looks. If a planet has water, explain this is why we’re using blue yarn. Why are some planets red? Also, this is great to physically describe the different sizes of planets!
