Hey everybody – Happy Valentine’s Day!
I have a really special Valentine this year. In fact, it’s her first Valentine’s Day. Her name is Enceladus…. and I’m kinda in love with her!
Matthew and I are generally excited about holidays, especially Christmas and Halloween, so I knew when we had a child I was going to go a little Mama crazy with activities and dressing up! There’s just something in me that screams “I’M SO EXCITED TO DO ARTS & CRAFTS WITH MY BABY!”.
We started daycare at the beginning of this year, and it’s been been good for everyone involved. Enceladus gets to surround herself with other children while having daily activities, and I get to try to get back to work – which is harder than I thought it would be! I try to focus but usually my mind wonders off thinking “I wonder what Enceladus is doing now…”.
I couldn’t pass up the opportunity to make Valentines with her, so we did some finger painting over the weekend. We sent out Valentines to family, friends and of course all of the daycare workers which take such great care of her! We also gave the daycare workers some Dunkin Donuts giftcards because trust me, they need coffee and a donut!
Btw, getting a hand print of a baby that doesn’t want to sit still is harder than I thought it would be! Whew! At 7 months she’s beginning to be a workout to try to keep up with!
From me and my Valentine to you…. Happy Valentine’s Day!

So cute… and funny. Speaking in terms of little squirmy 7 month old people, it’s like that old saying about getting jello to stick to a wall… mission impossible. HA! But, good for your loving, craft oriented heart. Mother-daughter memories are made of those crafts.
My own mother celebrated everything….& every holiday big or little. She used to say: “There are so few things to celebrate in life that we should never miss the ones already printed on our calendars!” ♥️. I am 74 yrs. old, so you know that was a long time ago that I heard that wisdom from her.
