Hotel Diva San Francisco Review, the perfect hotel to stay in for singles and families! Located in the Union Square area!
Last week I got to spend a few days in San Francisco attending the Pinterest Creators Event. It was bittersweet, because even though I was excited to attend, it was my first trip away from Enceladus so I feeling emotional too!
Thankfully I booked my stay at Hotel Diva in Downtown San Francisco which made the trip much easier as they took care of me!
Union Square San Francisco Hotel
First, let’s talk location. It was the perfect location for public transportation, day trip buses, shopping (all the shopping) and food! Public transportation is only a few blocks away, along with Ubers showing up at your hotel within minutes (even at 5AM!).
I took the BART from the airport to the Powell Street Station and it was a quick and easy ride that cost me $10. Alternatively a Uber will cost you about $30 to the airport, or even less if you do a Uber Pool.
There’s lots of restaurants to choose from (including a delicious 24 hour diner across the street) nearby. If you forget anything, there’s a Walgreens one block away. This area is filled with luxury shopping, if you name a department store or high end store, it’s probably within blocks! Also, I took a day trip to the Muir Woods and the bus station was literally 2 blocks away! Perfect location!
By the way, go to Muir Woods and hug some giant Sequoia trees if you have a free afternoon. It was my most favorite part of the trip!
The first thing I noticed when I walked into my room on the 4th floor was how spacious and lofty it was! The ceilings were tall! There were 2 large windows that let in lots of natural light, but also had blinds if you wanted to black it out and sleep in!
I stayed in the Executive King room and it was bigger than some of my friends NYC apartments! I loved that it had a couch that I could chill out on and get some work done during the day. They offer free wi-fi, which unlike some hotels, is actually fast enough to do work on!
Or I could jump to the desk and plug in my laptop there! Also note, that’s a mini fridge built into the desk!
The most important part of a hotel in my opinion is the bed! I haven’t been able to sleep in for months (hi baby!) so I was looking forward to just laying here… and doing nothing! Hah.
The good news is that Hotel Diva’s beds are super comfy! The beds have Serta Five Star mattresses, 400 thread count linens, down comforters & pillows! Basically what I’m saying is dive in because it’s so comfortable!
Seriously, they made this Mom’s dreams comes true. I slept in… until 9am! WOAH!
I loved the industrial styled headboard of the bed too!
After I woke up from my beautiful sleep I skipped on over to the Keurig machine and made a nice cup of coffee! Each room comes stocked with a Keurig machine, k-cups and your own Diva mug!
If you’re craving a latte, you can head downstairs and right next door where there is a Starbucks! This was the perfect spot for me to grab a quick breakfast before I started my day.
There’s plenty of closet space with this cool beaded closet door. There’s also a safe in the closet if you want to lock anything up. You can’t tell but there’s a sink/mirror across from the closet which means you have 2 sinks/mirrors (the other is in the bathroom). If you’re a couple or having a girls weekend, you know how important this is when getting ready!
The bathroom has a shower/tub and nice sized sink. It’s basic but does the trick. It also comes with all necessities if you forget your shampoo/moisturizer/soap at home. It also comes with a hair dryer, don’t worry!
Regarding the hustle and bustle of the city, I was not worried about the neighborhood being too loud. Even though we’re in Downtown San Francisco I was able to get a quiet night of sleep and not be bothered by the street noise.
Across from the hotel is the beautiful Curran Theater, so make sure to check that out and see if there’s any shows happening while you visit!
Some nice perks…
During late afternoon hours, enjoy a free glass of champagne! In the lobby, a employee will gladly pour you a glass of champagne that you can drink there or bring to your room to relax with!
I like the small joys in life, like quality free water a hotel offers. Not only do they offer free bottled water (if you need more, ask the front desk!) but some floors of the hotel have purified water machines. This was the first time I saw a hotel offer that!
Hope this review will help you when trying to decide what hotel to book on your next San Francisco adventure!
