Happy 17th Anniversary

Dear Matthew,

Happy 17th Anniversary. That’s 204 months. That’s 6,205 days. That’s 149,018.94 hours. That’s 536,468,184 seconds.

Woah.

Clowns in Disney World for Halloween Festival

But really, happy anniversary to my best friend. Who would have thought that when we started hanging out (and kissing) in 2003 as 2 art school students, it would eventually lead us to NYC where we’d raise a family (humans and cats), and continue our art adventures together?

Times haven’t always been easy. After all, we made this journey ourselves, making up the rules as we went along. Times still aren’t easy, but you’re there to support me, and I’m there to tell you you’re the best.

You’ve seen me cry. You’ve seen me yell. You’ve seen me break down. You’ve seen me give birth (woah). You’ve seen me at my best and my worst. But still, you tell me you love me.

Thanks for being my best friend. Thanks for always be silly with me. Thanks for being a great Dad to Enceladus and our cats. Thanks for answering my question “Tell me 3 things you’re happy about” every single night in bed. Thanks for making me grilled cheese sandwiches with pickles at midnight when I’m craving them. Thanks for teaching me new things. Thanks for making me laugh. Thanks for traveling around the world with me. Thanks for giving me a boost of confidence when I need it. Thanks for always pushing us, even when we’re both scared to take that next step. Thanks for not saying anything when you know Enceladus doesn’t need any more clothes but I can’t control myself when a new Misha & Puff sweater is released. Thanks for helping me grow as your partner, as your friend, as a woman and as a Mother.

I love you. Here’s to the next one.
Pamela, your Meowza

I love your recipes, cat stores, upstate adventure and your wee one growing up so fast. Thank you for being such an inspiration to city dwellers who long for the farm life. 🙂

Oh my gosh. I just love that letter. You guys have all the components to last forever and I hope you do! Best of luck and I hope he treats you to a magnificent meal tonight for Valentine’s.

Hey Carol, thanks so much! Happy to see you here. 🙂 We ended up going on a belated Anniversary lunch date today to one of our favorite Mexican restaurants. As usual, I ate too many tortilla chips!

Are you sure you’re not a Hallmark movie? (I watch too many!) Could I ask you to ad my wife to your email list as I forward them to her. Her email is [email protected]. I’m watching for your delivery in late Summer! Best of luck to all of you.
