Our First Family Walk

Time to go on our first family walk with Enceladus while wearing our lillebaby tokidoki Complete All Seasons carrier!  This post is in partnership with buybuy BABY.

This past weekend we decided to head out for our first family walk.  I’ve taken Enceladus on multiple walks by myself (I hope you’re watching my adventures on Instagram Stories by the way!) to the studio, grocery store and other random places when I feel like we need to get out!   She loves strolling around in her UPPAbaby Vista, and surprisingly handles bumps in the sidewalk like a pro without even opening her eyes!

I want to make it a mission to do one weekly thing as a family, so we headed out to show her how lucky she was to live in Brooklyn!  It just happened that it was also National Ice Cream Day, so we had to stop for ice cream too…..!  

Now only if she could remember her first walk with us, but she was passed out and snoring the entire time!

I see Moms and Dads wearing their baby all the time so I did tons of research on what baby carrier was going to be right for us.  Because she’s a Summer baby I wanted to make sure it was breathable in 90 degree temperatures.  I also wanted a carrier that could transition from newborn to toddler.  We went with the lillebaby Complete All Seasons carrier and we absolutely love it.  At first I was intimidated by all the straps but after a morning of practice last week, I slipped her in during one of her cry-fests and immediately (no lie) she stopped crying.  Within 2 minutes she was snoring and I was doing laundry with 2 hands!  The carrier is one of my favorite things and I love that I can throw it on and run quick errands without worrying about waking her up from her naps.   On a fashion point, I really love that it comes in different patterns.  We love fun prints so as soon as we saw the lillebaby tokidoki Complete All Seasons carrier collaboration, we knew that carrier was for us!  I mean there’s cats in space in the print – it was made for us!

Bonus is that one size fits all, so it can fit Mama and Papa.  Papa looks pretty good wearing it too. <3

We walked up and down the Kent Greenway in Brooklyn, enjoying some time by the waterfront.  She was asleep so she didn’t get to take in the views, but we did snap this family photo.

Can’t wait to share more walking trips with Enceladus, especially ones where she’s awake!  

PS.  I promised you ice cream so here it is! Double scoop cone of Sprinkle + Oatmeal Cookie Dough.  The Oatmeal was so good I need to head back to OddFellows (on Kent Avenue in Brooklyn!) real soon!

(Secret: I made this entire post while wearing her in the carrier because the only place she wants to be today is next to Mama’s chest!)
