Farmers Speak: Organic Oats

Posted:11/19/14

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Clif Bar & Company for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Do you guys like CLIF® Bars? Yeah, me too.

CLIF® Bar is a great company because they use organic oats. These oats are healthy, nutritious and for a lifestyle that fuels adventure!  Have you ever met a hiker that doesnt like  CLIF® Bars? See, they fuel excitement!  Not only do they use organic oats but they are a essential and key ingredient to all it’s recipes.  I love that they focus on bettering people and the planet while looking towards the future while trying to change it now!

Clif Bar & Company put everything into the way they craft their food.   Their focus is on creating a healthier way to live and that begins with using organic ingredients in their products. When consumers understand where their food is coming from, I think it educates them and starts to spread out to other foods in their life. Labels will now be checked more, and hopefully a more caring attitude towards this Planet will be given.

I recently saw this video and wanted to share it with you. The video tells the story of a fourth-generation farmer growing organic oats in Canada.  In the video he talks about why his farm doesn’t use chemicals or pesticides on his crops.    He also  gives a history of his family’s farm and discusses how farm life is changing with meeting the demand for organic oats.  It’s a must watch!
