Candy Corn Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies using Oreo Cookies! Grab a pack of Halloween Oreos and bake these cookies!

Candy Corn Oreo Cookies

Every year Oreo releases limited edition Candy Corn Oreo Cookies around Halloween time. Every year I go to Target waiting for them to stock the shelves.  Last year, I went to Target 2 times a week for the entire month of October, and they were sold out every single time.

The employees told me people they couldn’t keep them in stock. I was devastated.  So imagine my happiness when I saw them in Target last week.   I started crying in the cookie aisle.  I slid to the ground, cookies in my arm, hugging them tightly, crying out loudly “I LOVE YOU!”.   Target asked me to leave, but first I bought the cookies.

So if you are reading this post, I ask you to PLEASE find these cookies and buy 2 packages. The first package, you can just eat – gobble up them Oreos! The 2nd package, make these Chocolate Chip Oreos using the Candy Corn Oreos! Enjoy!

Wondering if used melted butter or softened? The recipe says softened but the photo looks melted to me! Thanks!

I like to melt the butter but stop it before it turns into pure liquid and is still a bit creamy. Enjoy!

Just popped these in the oven, am excitedly awaiting for the turnout! This has set off all sorts of candy corn dessert-y goodness in my head….candy corn creme brulee is next on my list, followed shortly by a candy corn cobbler…..did I mention at Sam’s Club (BJ’s for you, yes?) they had a 5lb bag of candy corn on sale for $7? I may be a tad on the candy corn obsessessed side….. 😉

I had no CLUE that Nabisco even made Candy Cane Oreos. I’ve had a lot of the other varieties, but never these. I feel like I’ve become a woman on a mission. I drive past at least three Targets on my way home from work. One of the stores HAS to have them in stock (right?!!!)

Can’t wait to try out these cookies…really! I’m already thinking of an excuse to stop at Target tonight.

Nate LOVEs candy corn so his mom went out and got these cookies the second Target had them last year. I have to say that I was kind of disappointed. I mean, they’re good, but they don’t really taste like candy corn, which I was hoping they would. Please don’t hate me now 🙁 Your cookies that are made with these cookies I could TOTALLY get on board with, though. Especially if you throw some chopped up candy corn in there too…Or maybe sprinkle a few on top? 😉

Please tell me you bought more than one package!

No Target here, but we do have Candy cane white chocolate m&ms, which isn’t the same, but I’ll take what I can get. I LOVE candycorn. LOVE it. You know that scene in ELf? That’s me. (“We Elves like to eat from all four food groups – candy, candy canes, candy corn, and maple syrup.”)

I made candy corn cookies a couple years ago and the candy corn melted out and crystallized on the outside. They were delicious. I’m pinning this!
