What is Meatless Monday? Meatless Monday is a trend for healthy eating and trying to eat less meat, even if only for 1 day (Mondays). Having a Meatless Monday can also be a great way to stretch your weekly food budget. Meat in general can be more expensive than frozen vegetables or fresh vegetables, so cutting that out for one day a week can save you money. Here are some other budget meals:

How to Grocery Shop on a Budget:
- Go deep freezer diving before grocery shopping. Find frozen vegetables or ingredients hiding and make them work with the recipes.
- Buy ingredients in bulk. If you are making 6 recipes that require frozen broccoli, buy a large bag to use.
- Plan later meals around ingredients used for your meatless Monday recipe. Use my Vegetable Recipe Index for help.
