Types of Tea
Tea, officially, comes from the leaves of an evergreen shrub or tree called Camellia sinensis. Depending on how the leaves are processed after they are picked determines if they are Oolong, black, green, or white tea.
There are also red “teas” or Rooibos tea. Since this does not come from the Camellia sinensis plant, it is not a true tea, but rather an herbal infusion from the Aspalathus linearis plant. It’s also known as Red Bush tea since Rooibos means Red Bush.
