You guys know I love Brooklyn, right? I mean I really really really love Brooklyn. I couldn’t imagine myself anywhere besides Brooklyn (well perhaps I could imagine myself upstate on my own Cat Sanctuary/Farm but that’s another story for another time). You might think Brooklyn is a concrete jungle but it’s actually a beautiful place with some lush green parks and greenways perfect for a stress relieving wellness workout if you know where to look.

Kent Avenue Greenway
This is one of my favorite places to run, ride my bike or just take a walk at night. The Kent Avenue Greenway is right on the water so it has amazing views, especially at night. It includes a 2 way bicycle lane and a big sidewalk to do some running on. The best part is there is a separation between the bicycle lane and moving cars so it’s the perfect place for safe bike rides. I learned how to ride my bike in NYC and this was one of the first places that I felt comfortable riding. If you’re heading to Williamsburg it’s the perfect track to use to get to.
To me Prospect Park is the most beautiful park in New York City (Sorry Central Park).
First of all, Prospect Park is huge (in terms of a park in the city). It’s 585 acres located between Park Slope, Prospect-Lefferts Gardens, Ditmas Park, Windsor Terrace and Flatbush Avenue, Grand Army Plaza and the Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
It includes a 90 acre beautiful green meadow, a zoo, a boathouse, amazing sporting facilities and a 3.35 mile loop perfect for runners, walkers and bicyclists. Matthew bikes here all the time doing 10 laps – woah!
This magical spot is underrated. What’s usually empty and has the best views of the city? Your rooftop. Do yoga here or get some cardio in. If you workout when the sun is setting you’ll get some extra energy points when you see the beauty of the sun hitting the buildings.

I totally do and I use my card every single time at Walgreens.
